I uninstalled UControl and switched to DoubleCommand. This gave me the functionality of swapping the Enter key to the Command key at the same time as making the F Keys work normal. One other thing I turned on too was Shift-Delete for forward delete. Now configuring DoubleCommand is easy - but not GUI based. You have to add up some numbers and write them to a text file. I didnt have a calc available, so I just started typing my addition into my Google toolbar in Safari. I knew Google had some neat functionality, but I was curious, so I searched for my addition - and hey presto! It did the math! Neat.

Dungeon Master spells are really handy. However, if you don’t own the manual, it is good to reference this website to know how to cast them. Zo Kath Ra!

UControl is a good util for Ibook owners. It lets you remap the Enter key (weirdly located on the right of the Space Bar where Command key should be) to act like the Command key. (As well as other stuff) Other similar utils are DoubleCommand.

After a full day of monkeying around, I finally got Dungeon Master running on my Apple. I’m running an Atari ST emulator called Hatari which is a little slower than NoSTalgia, but since Hatari is open source and more of a coders emulator, it lets you remap the Mac-ST keys. This came up because when you play DM (Dungeon Master) on the ST, the movement thru the levels is really clean with Left,Right,Forward,Back, as well as sidestep Left and Right using a block of six keys. (Insert & clr home turn you)
Well, on Powerbooks and IBooks there are arrows (good for sidestepping), but no turn arrows, which makes navigating mazes and fighting monsters really difficult. So I made a key remapping file, to make the QWE/ASD keys be my nav keys. Works great!! I (actually my g/f and I) already wasted a few hours playing! FUN! Now to make the Function keys work normal instead of hotkeys for volume / brightness….
