I upgraded my headlights to 2nd Gen headlights today. I figured instead of dealing with splicing stuff and cutting wires, I'd go with the idiot proof, but time consuming method of switching over the front Fiero wiring harness. It sure did take a lot of time, but it's pretty straightforward. Had a little trouble pulling the harness through two tight areas, but I just bent the metal a little to give some room. hope the Fiero doesn't mind! The donor lights/harness work great! Woo Hoo.. oh, I don't think holes are pre drilled for the control unit on pre-87 cars, so you'll need to drill holes.

Yesterday I installed my old Fiero's car alarm into my new 86 GT. I forgot how much work it is to install these kinds of things! Plus, the vog didn't help at all - i was sweating like a mo fo. (vog = volcanic fog) Add that together with kona winds (I really dont know what the hell that means, but I do know that whenever it is hot as sin, its because of the kona winds) and you have a recipe for frustrating, hot and tedious work. It took me a few hours of laboring upside down on the floor of the car to get it all installed, but it probably would have taken longer if i hadn't marked what wires attached to what stock wires on my old Fiero. Next: swapping out my wiring harness to upgrade to 2nd Gen headlights. I'll cross my fingers for some nice trade winds!

Fiero #2 is a 86 gold fastback GT. Paint job is pretty faded, but otherwise it's in great shape. Gonna be replacing lots of parts with stuff from my totalled 87 Fiero GT. It's interesting to note the small differences between the two - engraved plenum, headlight assemblies... Thats all I figured out so far...

i bought Kingdom Hearts lately for our PS2. it's a very fun, easy to play, addictive game. i have wasted entirely too much time in the last few days watchin the boob toob. Some of the cutscenes are are a little long and sappy (i guess it can't be avoided if you use Disney characters), but overall it's a kick to interact with such classics as Alice in Wonderland and Pinnochio. On the topic of video games, I heard there will be a Fiero in Gran Turismo 4 --- whenever the hell that comes out...
