Applying for jobs can be tedious. But if you submit a fun resume & cover letter once in a while it can be fun! Use words like “awesome”, prefixes like “uber”, and phrases like “I won’t feign to be a ‘god’…”
‘Azriel’ and I will probably try to check out local anime related events in the area - there seem to be some conglomerations of otaku-type-people at some Japantown Anime Festival. The pics from their site confirm the presence of cosplay activities. Gotta see that. I would say it’s on par with the furry people.
Prosciutto (sp?) and chicken tortellini & Genshiken. A scrumptious combination. Looked into events happening music-wise to occupy a Friday night, but no appropriate entertainment manifested. When will Basement Jaxx play? Nightblind Jenny probably can’t go to concerts.

Waking up is hard to do. Especially when your internal clock is 3 hours off from the current time zone. Oh well - we’ll get it right tommorow since our 2 extra boxes came by FedEx Ground today. Now we have an alarm clock. But we wouldn’t have been home to receive the speedy packages unless Phourque hadn’t told us about nextbus.com, a GPS mass transit tracking system that lets you know when the Muni is right around the corner. 3 min? OK, Let’s Go!
Due to the discovery that long pants and long sleeved shirts are almost not an option if you don’t want to freeze here, we rolled into the city proper with the Muni. The Muni cars sure feel hefty - more solid than the rickety London “Tube”, but without the same air of cool. $3.00 + one donation to a random beggar later and we emerged into the *gasp* sunlight right outside a Virgin MegaStore. After some shopping at the obnoxious Abercrombie & Fitch (remind me never to go there again) and some pseudo-mexican food fare at … Ricardos? Rialtos? Rorhas? … Damn. Can’t recall. After that, we were drawn in by the bright and colorful Puma store.
Ooooooh. Aaaaah. What wonderful goods. And, oh my! No Way! How Cool! Through gasps of disbelief we pondered over the display containing miscellaneous flaps of shoe anatomy - a handful of many colored skin pieces, patterned tongues and a variety of heels. For $130 you can pick out your favorite shoes bits from the assortment available and have them custom craft you a shoe! We were most excited at the prospect of going on Shoe Safari and cooking up our own custom creations. But we would have to get jobs and save our pennies first…
