The USGS answers the question Is there earthquake weather? in their Earthquake FAQ. I recently heard about the term from a coworker, and according to her, earthquake weather is when it get really hot, the air is still and there is a weird 'mood' to the weather. Ok, Ok, sounds pretty vague to me! I have yet to experience any quakes here in California, but I'll be sure to keep my feet tuned to the ground on hot, still days. Other indicators of lore are the behaviors of animals. Apparently pets will freak out, birds will get the hell out of the area, etc etc. Not exactly scientific observations, but it makes for a good story.Entry Filed under: Other
