Anime Review: AIR [tv]

Anime review:I was craving Anime over the last couple of days, so after a little research and waiting for Azureus later, I was ready for my fix. On the menu was AIR [tv], a 13 episode show that was featured on many people's top 10 animes for 2005. I had no idea what the story was. Well, I got sucked in right away. With overcutesy characters & an intriguing story, my interest was captured rom the start. The dog named Potato that says "piko piko" is hilarious. As the show progressed and the quality continued, I was quite surprised by the lack of the usual cliche panty-shots, breast fondlation, especially since it is the standard fare of one male character and a whole lotta females. However, as the story wound down I felt sorely disappointed and confused. The story went on some weird tangents and had odd twists that didn't seem to make much sense. There are some really touching moments though, and it's worth watching, despite it's shortcomings. It was only after I was done with the show that I found out that the anime is based on a bishoujo game of the same name, which may account for the story. I'll give this show a 7.5 outta ten.
