I heart sketch is a really interesting environment for rapid sketching of 3d forms, using solely gestures  both for drawing and for switching between modes. The video starts a bit wordy, but the modeling of a plane at the end is totally rad. This lowers the content to UI ratio to 100/0 and seems to work great for a specialized tool such as this.
