In balmy Hawaii, where the land meets the sea at Kakaako Park, you might stumble upon the rumble of club tunes, the smell of a hibachi, and the positive energies of a small group of music lovers. Whenever I had the pleasure of spinning at these gatherings overlooking the Pacific, these are the kinds of trance tunes I would bring to soothe the sun into the ocean.
