More Wendy's Ad Slyness
New Wendy's commercial with some girl singing "Ooh baby I love your way" and a bunch of the now-standard testimonials in widesreen format. Testimonials push the idea of getting a Wendy's burger made to order. Now this is really slick because without blatantly ripping off McDonalds and Burger King, they are pushing the same messages as their competitors. Let's see:"Have it your way" - Burger King
"I'm Lovin' it" - McDs
Now tell me this isn't a coincidence!

I love that commercial. So... it's about fast food, and... Wendy's? Guess I was diverted by that cuttie's rack, hopping around and what-not. Ripping off someone's slogan like that is really cheap >:^(

I can't tell you how much I hate that commercial.
It's as if a boardroom full of white ad-execs sat around brainstorming on how to promote an "Urban" Wendy's spot, and came up with a spinoff of a talentless freestyle poetry reading, and dressed up their actors in the wardrobe from the 80's TV show Fame---to give it a "hip NYC feel".
And I agree with the Spyhunter's take. It is a clever ripoff.
