Anthony Boudain from Lebanon

Salon Life has an excellent article called Watching Beirut die written by Anthony Bourdain, host of the Travel Channel's show "No Reservations". I really enjoy his laid-back style and witty, sarcastic comments and irreverent attitude - heck he even smokes on the show! I didn't know smoking on TV was still legal! Anyway, they were filming their show about Beirut, when the shit hit the fan between Israel and Lebanon. Great article, a bit longish, but much recommended.
